Banking Technology Conclave - 2008
Event Summary

The second edition of the Economic Times Banking Technology Conclave was held on August 12, 2008 in Mumbai, India. In line with new banking requirements and customer demands, the conference focused on the process of deriving businesses from promising areas through Metadata Framework, IT effectiveness—measuring the performance and the AML Compliance—The Model.

With KPMG as the Knowledge Partner and Ms. Chanda Kochchar, Joint MD and CFO of ICICI Bank Ltd. Chairing the event, the Conclave included presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions on the low-cost distribution opportunities, and IT integration services—the architecture approach—integration of architecture and binding it together with the main business systems.

Senior management representatives, chief technology officers, technology architects, and chief operating officers of public sector, private, and international banks came together to discuss the next frontier of banking, managing the paradigm shifts in business, leveraging efficiencies in managing transactional data, branch virtualization etc.

Senior representatives from risk, compliance, and operations departments of banks, network managers, technology solution implementers, technology service providers, telecom companies, BFSI consultants, and data analytical firms presented case studies and discussed the challenges technology risk adoption angst and security scares.
